It’s been entirely too long since I updated this place, and I’ve got reasons to come back. Primarily, the reasons have to do with the slow buildup to a potential podcast. It all started with some Facebook live streams answering questions about Judaism and explaining my life and culture.

Now, it’s turning into something bigger. Which has made me realize a few things

• I stopped blogging with an unfinished story about my eldest daughter experiencing antisemitism in school for the first time.
• I have ranted and raved and railed privately about our experience as an enlisted Jewish family, and that the issues we face are deserving of attention.
• Typical social media sites aren’t the best for longer discussions and essays. Google+ was, but it is shutting down this year.

So now I’m back to putting my life in blog form, and being honest on such a public platform is going to be rough, but I think I’ve got the necessary supports to do this thing successfully.
